My Story
My artistic journey began in middle school with the meticulous precision of frame-by-frame animation, eventually leading me to capture sacred church ceremonies. Over the past eight years and more than 200 weddings worldwide, from New York and California to Jamaica and Mexico, my purpose has profoundly evolved. While creating a beautiful film remains a priority, Blain Captures focuses entirely on something far more enduring: the living, breathing community of your wedding day.
A wedding film should not just focus on a bride by herself or a collection of dramatic poses. True magic lives in the unfiltered, natural reactions of your family, your guests, and the two of you together. I design films intended to be lived with. This is the kind of timeless heirloom you gather around the television to watch every Thanksgiving, family get-together, and anniversary. It is an entertaining, joyful capsule designed to bring a laugh during difficult times, to prompt shared stories over a family meal, and to preserve the voices and laughter of the people we cherish.
This vision is deeply rooted in my own life. Growing up in a Haitian American household, and now as a devoted husband, I have witnessed firsthand the unifying power of documented memories. My parents still replay every family function, birthday, and wedding on the TV. We sit, eat, laugh, and remember. As time moves forward and we grow, these films only become more valuable, locking in the irreplaceable presence of the elders and loved ones we lose along the way. I capture everything because I know that seeing my uncle from Georgia sharing a genuine laugh with my aunt from Canada captured on footage was just as important as our magazine poses. We preserve the authenticity of your celebration, transforming the collective joy of your community into an unforgettable, generational legacy.
